Regional Showcase Terms and Conditions
- The O'Neill's Showcase 2010 is a competition, therefore acts will NOT be paid for their performance
- One act from each of five regional showcases will be put through to an on-line national final hosted on the O'Neill's website and promoted via facebook and national and regional press
- Acts will not be permitted to play original songs, only covers
- Set times will be no longer than 25 minutes
- A contact number is needed from each band to pass on to the manager of the host O'Neill's pub for each regional showcase in order to arrange equipment sharing, stage time and sound check times
- All sets will be filmed on the night and acts photographed, with the resulting footage and images appearing on the O'Neill's website and in promotional materials
- The winner is the act that has received the majority of votes as of midnight on the 14 October 2010 when voting will close
- The winner will be announced via the website at midday on 15 October 2010 and notified directly
- The winner will be promoted via national and regional press from 15 October 2010 and may be required to take part in media interviews in the two weeks following the announcement
- The winner of the national final will be awarded £2,000 worth of music equipment courtesy of Rosetti
- Showcase events offer acts the chance to play in front of O'Neill's pub managers with the aim of securing new gigs
- Acts to play in the regional showcases are principally selected from the online O'Neill's Playlist, which includes both acts that are new to O'Neill's (i.e. never performed in an O'Neill's pub before) and current acts looking to secure additional gigs across the O'Neill's brand
