O'Neill's focuses on sustainability

The UK has set its sights on going net zero carbon by 2050 and O’Neill’s wants to help it achieve this target as much as we can. We’ve reviewed our carbon footprint and come up with a clear strategy on what we need to do to reduce our impact on planet earth.

We’re pleased with what’s been achieved so far, but know there’s still much more we can do. Every day, we’re making small, but important changes that will help do some good for our planet whilst still being the place you can enjoy all the craic and good food and drinks. Our parent company Mitchell's & Butlers has set out a series of sustainable choices that will add up to big improvements over the coming years. These are centred around:

o Net Zero Greenhouse Gas emissions by 2040 (scope 1,2 and 3)

o Achieving zero waste to landfill by 2030

o Reducing food waste by 50% by 2030

o We work with Fareshare to redistribute surplus food to communities who need it

o All of our O’Neill’s pubs are powered with 100% renewable electricity

o 96% of our operational waste is diverted from landfill

o O'Neill's are founding members of the Zero Carbon Forum and are committed to reducing our emissions and developing a road-map to Net Zero
